Do You Need a Free Background Check?

Is there a way to run a free background check?

So the most frequent question I get asked is, “How do I run a background check for free?”.  My response has always been, “It is not possible”.  And that has been the truth… until now.  Under normal circumstances, background checks cannot possibly be free and I would advise everyone to be extremely skeptical and suspicious of any site advertising any type of background check for “free”.  Most everyone who asks me about free background checks tells me that they have seen them advertised all over the internet but when they follow the link, they are required to pay.  It is frustrating to see how many dishonest advertisers there are out there just trying to lure you in with false promises of a free product that does not exist!

So how is what I am about to tell you any different from all those other advertisements?  Continue reading

How to Run a Background Check on your Nanny

For so many of us, it is an unfortunate reality that we cannot be with our children as much as we might wish.  Life demands so much of us and the need to keep our children safe and cared for often forces us to trust others with that care.  I am intimately aware of the worry that constantly eats away at you when someone else is caring for your child… especially when that child is too young to tell you about how things are with their caretaker.  You do all you can to ensure that you hire someone who will be kind and caring.  But how can you truly know who that person is?  What do they act like when you are away?  Is there anything in their past that, if you were to know about it, would keep you from hiring them? Continue reading

How to Run a Background Check on Your Child’s Teacher

We live in a time of uncertainty where it is becoming more and more difficult to trust those we charge with caring for our children.  When I first considered utilizing online background check services to ensure the safety of my daughter, I felt a little nervous… Was this an invasion of that person’s privacy?  After much thought, I came to the conclusion that my daughter’s safety is more important than anything and outweighs all other factors.  Plus, all a background check service does is search databases full of public record information… stuff we have a legal right to know!  It’s not like you are hiring a private investigator to take pictures of them or dig through their trash (both of those are legal but start to cross my personal boundary into creepiness). Continue reading

Making Sure Mr. Right Really Is Mr. Right

I have heard so many stories lately about innocent women (and men) who found out shocking things about their partners after months in the relationship… things that, had they known originally, would certainly have kept them from ever getting involved with that person to begin with.  It is a sad statement on our society!  It makes me scared to ever let me daughter date anyone… ever! Is There Someone Else?

When you first meet someone that you really fall for, it is hard to think rationally.  That’s why they say, “love is blind”.  Everyone has met someone that turned their world upside down.  That feeling is simply incomparable.  You feel like you’re walking in the clouds, you’re happy, excited and you feel like your’re 16 again.  You find yourself smiling at nothing at all and you are so caught up in the way you feel that you wouldn’t know it if the world stopped turning.  However, how do you know if that person is really who they say they are? How To Get A Criminal Record Expunged or Sealed.

How to get a Criminal Record Expunged or Sealed

Having any kind of criminal record can have dire long-term consequences.  It can prevent you from getting a job, from being accepted to school, from adopting children, etc.  But mistakes made in our past don’t necessarily need to haunt us for the rest of our lives.  In many cases, a criminal record can be sealed or even expunged.  This in turn may allow you to legally never mention the conviction again (unless you want to work for the F.B.I. or something). Reverse Look Up On Cell Phone Numbers

For as long as I can remember, if I wanted to know someone’s phone number I could just grab that huge ugly yellow book and look it up. If I wanted to know who owned a phone number I could just call information services. Then we recieved a gift from heaven… caller id! Gone were the days I spent prank calling random people in my town cause if I did, they called me right back and asked for my parents!

Caller id was such a cool invention because it helped remove anonymity from the telephone. It made people more accountable for their actions. Of course some learned ways to work around that little box but for the most part, it served its purpose.

Well, unfortunately, anonymity has re-entered the world of electronic communications. Only this time it is cellular phones that are the culprit. How does one go about looking up someone’s cell phone number? Or better yet, how do you find out who owns a specific cell number? Where is that big yellow book? It is on the internet my friend and it is easier than ever to find what you are looking for!

Armed with just a cell phone number, reverse phone look up services can allow you to find not only the owner of that phone number, but also their address, criminal history, mortgage carrier, relatives, neighbors and more. Now that is some serious power!

The only drawback is that reverse phone look ups are not free. Some internet ads may lure you in with claims that they are free but, trust me, it is just a way to hook you in. By “free” they mean, the search is free to do. Of course if you want to actually see the information that results from said search… well that part is not so free.

www.CompleteReviews.net has invested countless hours into research and testing the reverse phone lookup marketplace and we have uncovered some excellent products. These services do not claim to be free. They tell you right up front what you are going to have to pay for their services. By the way, it is generally about $14 for a successful search but all 3 top products offer unlimited search add-ons for less than $10. The sites we recommend have all passed rigorous testing protocols that have proven they have the data (over 3 billion records to work with) to backup their assertion that they are the best in the industry.

So you can spend hours and waste money chasing after the ads you will find all over the internet claiming free services, or you can go with a trusted, tested, proven product that will provide you with exactly what you need… information!

The Truth About Public Record Searching…

Public Records Searches have become a huge online business. It honestly scares me how much information anyone can find about me with only a few minutes of time and a web browser. Of course, that goes both ways. There are so many different reasons why a Public Records Search can come in handy or even downright necessary. For example, they can be extremely helpful when trying to protect your children.

Even though the source of all the data is the same, the products and services that access that data are very different. Prior to ever spending any money on a public records search services, it is important to know how they compare and which ones are real products versus scams. Review sites are a must as they independently rank the best public records search services. I recommend http://www.CompleteReviews.net for detailed reviews of all the top public records search services.

They break the public records search services into categories as there are so many different types of searches. They then rank the top three products in each of the following categories:

Unlimited Search services (the perfect solution for investigative parenting).
Bakground Check services.
Criminal Records searches.
Court Record Searches.
Social Security Number Record searches. (scary…)
Sex Offender Registry search services.
Reverse Phone Lookup services (a must have for anyone with a child who owns a cell phone).
Reverse eMail Lookup services (if your child is online, you need to check this out!)
Marriage Records search.
Divorce Records search.
Birth Records search.
Death Records search.
People Locator.
Commercial Grade Detective Products.
The most important thing to note is that you should never be tricked into paying for that which is easily accessible for free. Most public search records are by nature freely available. But that doesn’t mean they are easily accessible. And some of the records are not accessible at all without utilizing a paid service with access to the information.

Take Reverse Phone Lookups for example. You should rarely be charged for a landline phone number. The basic rule of thumb is that if it is listed in a phone book, you can find it for free. Services like http://www.whitepages.com and http://www.anywho.com are excellent resources. But how do you find the owner of an unlisted number or better yet, a cell phone? That is where Reverse Phone Lookups become essential. www.CompleteReviews.net/ ranks the top three best sites for these services.

Again, don’t get caught paying for easily accessible free services. Make sure the service is independently reviewed and rated and you will get what you pay for and more!

Reverse Phone Lookup

Reverse Phone Lookups have been a hot item for some time now. So many sites have popped up that offer to tell you exactly who owns a specific phone number. Are these searches a waste of money? Is it all a big scam? Yes and no…

First of all, we need to examine the difference between a Reverse Phone Lookup and Reverse Cell Phone Lookup. A good question to ask yourself is, “Can I likely find this phone number in a regular phone book?”. If the answer is “yes” then you should not be paying a service to report the owner of that phone number. All you need to do in this case is use any free phone listing service such as:

http://www.WhitePages.com

http://www.anywho.com

But if you are dealing with a cell phone or even an “unlisted” number, a paid service is the way to go. Again, however, there are many scams out there. I have seen some services that make you think they have results which you must pay to see only to find out that the results are incorrect or bogus. Of course, you cannot figure out how to get your money back.  I have done a lot of research and it is all includede on my review site for all Public Records Search www.CompleteReviews.net.

Being charged for a reverse phone lookup should never happen. Paying for an unlisted lookup or especially a cell phone is totally appropriate.
